Brymor were originally asked to assist with some exploratory works after reports of defects in the cladding of the Vista Apartments Building that was constructed by another contractor. Following which a complete scaffold was erected to safely protect the panels that were exposed to high winds.
Defects in the existing carrier frame were repaired and recorded to enable the Client to form part of their claim against the original builder.
As the building was in occupation for the full period of the works, care had to be taken to ensure that the tenants were not inconvenienced too much.
Quality records were important with each cladding panel given a unique reference number. Photos and records were made at every stage of the process to demonstrate works undertaken. A total of more than 50,000 photos were taken and issued to the Client for record purposes.
Finally, as the scaffold was stripped, balconies were investigated, and as a result all the bolts had to be replaced.
