What is the role?

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to work within our construction division.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager/Operations Director, you will take the lead role in ensuring the efficient running of the contract by effectively managing all resources associated with the contract, to ensure that a quality service and product is provided to the customer.

Key responsibilities include:

• Undertaking overall responsibility for the project.
• Making sure that projects are within full compliance with health and safety, quality and environmental legislation as well as compliant with Brymor policies and procedures.
• Liaising and developing the relationship with the customer and the customer representatives.
• Monitoring progress against the works programme and manage the impact of additional work and delays.
• Monitoring progress of the construction/maintenance to ensure the finished works is correct to the agreed specification.
• Ensuring the most effective and efficient use of resources on the project and pursue any subsequent recovery.
• Monitoring and supporting the site team.

As the successful candidate, you will need to have relevant main contractor experience with sound technical knowledge. You will also need an excellent understanding of Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures and promote a safety culture in full support of our ‘excellent delivery’ values and ethos.

Using your strong communication skills, you will have the ability to encourage and manage effective team work, maintain a good team environment and champion continuous improvement. You will have the drive and ambition to successfully deliver a high quality service.

A minimum of a Higher Education Qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction as well as CSCS registered. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project is desirable.

We are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work within our construction division.

Reporting to the Managing Surveyor, you will effectively take a lead role in achieving the set objectives for the project, whilst maximising profit and fostering a positive working relationship with the client and project team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Involvement at pre-construction stage to oversee and actively contribute toward submitted tenders.
• To support the design development function with a view to protect and enhance the commercial contribution of projects.
• To procure and manage Sub-Contractor accounts, financially and contractually.
• To secure full entitlements under the contract.
• Contribute to achieving the appropriate commercial result through the provision of accurate financial reporting.
• Contribute to the business forecasts by accurately projecting and delivering turnover and margin.
• Build and maintain effective Client and sub-Contractor relationships.
• Identify, develop where possible and communicate new business opportunities.

As the successful candidate, you will need to have relevant main contractor experience with sound technical knowledge. You will also need a good understanding of Health and Safety, Procurement, Planning and Programming procedures and be able to demonstrate excellent commercial awareness.

Using your strong communication and negotiation skills, you will be able to solve problems effectively and have the drive and ambition to successfully deliver a high quality service.

A minimum of a Higher Education Qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction as well as CSCS registered. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project is desirable.

Reporting to the Project/Contracts Manager, you will take a lead role in ensuring the efficient running of the site by effectively managing all resources associated with the site, to ensure that a quality service and product is provided to the customer.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising all labour as necessary and coordinate the activities of trades and subcontractors involved with the site, so that all operations are performed efficiently and in accordance to the construction programme and the quality and costs required by Brymor.
• Managing the site and ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensuring that all work is kept on programme and that all details as specified in the drawings and instructions are adhered to.
• Ensuring full compliance with health and safety, quality and environmental legislation as well as compliant with Brymor policies and procedures.
