Project Overview.

Brymor are delighted to have been awarded the Vespasian residential led development at Poole Quay.

About the project.

This new scheme comprises 64 affordable luxury one and two-bedroom en-suite apartments and three commercial units with a ground level car park beneath.

Located in the heart of Poole Quay on the site of the former Poole Pottery Shop, the new four-storey building with an external roof terrace is being constructed using piled foundations, a concrete frame with a steel frame infill system and a brick external façade.

External landscaping works and all mains service connections will complete the project.

Poole Pottery was founded in 1873 and was located on the East Quay, Poole. It was originally named ‘Carter’s Industrial Tile Manufacturing’. As well as producing pottery, the Carter company made much of the ceramic tiling used on London Underground Stations, built in the 1930’s.

The pottery factory left the quay in 2000, with the site being redeveloped, but the retail shop remained. Now in 2020, with the shop now gone, it has paved the way for this new modern and elegant development with views of Europe’s largest natural harbour.
