The construction of two blocks of flats comprising 35 dwellings and the enhancement of landscaping and open space around Compton Sarum for the benefit of the local community.
The development, provides sustainable, affordable one- and two-bedroom flats carried out on behalf of our Client, New Forest District Council.
Brook Court (Block A) is a two-storey building containing 13 flats with three stairwells, each serving four flats.
The substructure comprises of piled foundations, capped strip foundations and a suspended concrete slab. The superstructure includes insulated cavity facing brickwork and block-work, pre-cast floors, pre-cast staircases, aluminium windows, curtain walling entrances and a truss design roof with felt and slate roofing.
Bartley Court (Block B) is a two-storey building incorporating 22 flats with six stairwells and follows the same construction sequence as Block A.
All flats have a kitchen / living area, one or two bedrooms and a bathroom.
Soft landscaping including grass seeding, planting, block paving together with car parking, refuse stores, cycle stores and tarmac roads conclude the scheme.
Brymor worked closely with the local community to reduce the amount of disruption caused. As well as holding monthly meetings with residents, Brymor also produced a regular newsletter offering an update on progress and planned works coming up.
