Brymor Takes a Stand.

Stand down preview

Brymor Group Southern downed tools to hammer home the importance of safety and wellbeing in the workplace.

Employees, subcontractors, labourers and visitors joined in the bi-annual Stand Down Day at all of the company’s sites nationwide.

Brymor is a longstanding supporter of the industry campaign under its focus on employee development and wellbeing in the workplace.

Stand Down sessions on sites were introduced and supported by senior management whilst project teams led briefings.

Topics discussed included hand injuries, the highlighting of potential hazards and the importance of looking out for each other!

Although there was a serious message of the day, participants were able to engage and have some fun as well.

The safety and wellbeing of employees, subcontractors and anyone else affected by Brymor’s activities – whether they are visitors, neighbours, clients and partners – is of utmost importance and will always remain high on the company’s agenda.

The Stand Down Day was held as part of World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

The initiative was launched in 2018 for the whole construction industry to tackle key health and safety challenges.

Brymor considers stand down days a powerful weapon to raise awareness and encourage employees to talk about issues.

Brymor also recently marked World Mental Health Awareness Week with support and information for employees.
