Project overview.

The project comprised the design and construction of a new 12-bed unit for The Meath Charitable Trust.

About the project.

The new unit will provide full time care for residents with epilepsy and severe disabilities including day / dining facilities, communal spaces and other functional accommodation. The works also comprised external works for the new buildings including access road, service access, staff and visitor parking, foul drainage, storm water drainage and attenuation as well as all incoming utility installations.

Through creating independent yet supported living accommodation, an environment has been created that will inspire and empower the residents, helping them gain as much control over their lives as possible.

Key to this empowerment is the use of tablet devices, either touch screen or retina controlled, providing full control of each individuals environment.

Throughout the project we adopted a collaborative, one-team approach, embracing our customers’ needs to maintain the continuity of their daily activities. Our team provided out-of-hours support throughout the life of the project, working collaboratively with the Trust and other key stakeholders.
